US Military in US cities

How do you feel about the US military being sent to help control crime in US cities?

Do you think it's good idea or a bad idea? How do you justify your opinions on this?

Well, I'm going to just come out and say it... I voted Trump. First time ever voting Republican mind you. Do I regret my vote? No but I understand where the other side of the aisle is coming from. I will say this that the last 8 months he's been in office I've seen a lot of action instead of just talking points talking which I like. Sadly, there has been some tragic things that took place, and yes sadly not all of what Trump's talking points said during his campaign has come to tuition....

That said, I feel the power of the president being the Commander and Chief has a well enough reason to control his military as he wishes. If cities don't condemn crime and put their own police down, as well not protect its citizens and not letting them do their sworn duty, that is basically Anarchy. Police are sworn to protect public property and enforce the laws. If a city doesn't comply under state or federal laws, one of the two entities would need to step up. Given that the Governors do not want to follow their sworn in position of duty to keep things civil, it would fall into the hands of the federal government at that point. Therefor justifying the need of military intervention as empowered by the Executive Branch. It's that simple. Civil unrest affects everyone, and not everyone can function in a lawless country. People have to have consequences for doing the bad thing. Either it be a citizen or politician.

I'm nervous about any military in our cities that is not the state National Guard.
