Is homeschooling better or worse for children’s social development?

Do any of you homeschool your kids? Were any of you homeschooled as kids?

Interested in hearing from you all.

Is homeschooling better or worse for the social skills development of children?

A child can learn everything through home schooling except social skills. Due to Corona, we home schooled our kid for 2 years, and now he has a problem making friends.

I wasn’t homeschooled, and neither was my son. He’s a very social kid, so keeping him at home would not have been a good idea.

Our neighbors homeschool their children, and while I completely understand their reasons (mainly safety and religious concerns), I’ve noticed that their three boys struggle in social situations. They get along well with each other, but they have trouble interacting with the other kids in the neighborhood.

It all depends on how well he is educated at home, it depends on what type of education we are talking about, it can be better or worse, since in terms of values and respect, it does start at home, but in terms of education such as mathematics, science I think it is much better at school, although nowadays with the internet you can educate a child very well from home.

They'd be better off home schooling nowadays. I think they end up making more money in the end

I think home schooling is a lot safer these days.

Im rly starting to post here every day. I like ur forum. I vote for home schooling too, my little brother working in app development company, thanks to covid 19. He was studying his school program online plus he was learning something new from IT domain, you know articles free videos ets. I highly doubt that he could reach same result without homeschooling.

The only reason why I would agree to homeschool my kids is when it's absolutely not safe for them to go to school proper. I wouldn't even talk about the time of COVID but when there's constant shooting up schools. I would never be at peace with my kids at school.
