Do you use it public around people you don't know?
For those of you who do use profanity in public around people you don't know, how do you justify doing it and not caring about you offend?
I don't like using it in public because it paints a bad picture of me. I can swear all I want when I'm alone and being frustrated with what I'm doing that's not working out.
I believe there's a time and place for everything but IMO, swearing in public comes off as rude and lacking class. This is especially true when in a family environment, as opposed to a bar or something similar.

It definitely shows lack of class and dignity to be swearing in public. It's even more disgusting when kids are around to hear all that trash come out of the mouth of an adult.

Agreed.
I don't think it's a good thing to do. Those who usually do it are trashy looking, too.
Kids doing it.... kind of expected if they aren't being supervised.
I would have got a bar of soap in my mouth and a belt across my butt if I got caught swearing as a kid like they do today.
My mother would skin you alive if she ever caught you swearing. I was afraid of my mother growing up than my dad. She was the disciplinarian in the house. There's nothing she wouldn't beat you with as long as her hands can reach it.
